With the standardization of the DOM (at least, in effect, via javascript libraries) and with the power of JS libraries and the growing and most-justified appreciations for javascript, more and more javascript applications will be coming. I am a believer in and evangelist of not only javascript programs, but of BUILDERS of such programs. Really, all this is a product of standardization and
unobtrusive javascript (and using JS for all it is worth). Here is my most recent production:
Free, no ads, no catches:
Universal Automatic Drag-and-Drop Activity Builder (builds the code and web page)
http://mynichecomputing.org/GuideInfoandPlanner/UniversalDD.htm
I also have made other builders, to build other common JavaScript apps:
http://mynichecomputing.org/linkGuider/
builds things like: http://mynichecomputing.com/linkGuider/demo.htm
Another: http://mynichecomputing.org/hierMenu/HierMenuBuilder3.htm
builds http://mynichecomputing.org/hierMenu/ (menu itself by Danny Goodman, builder is my addon)
Here is another utility which essentially builds itself. (This is thanks to the second-to-the-last revolution
in unobtrusive JavaScript, manipulating the DOM via CSS) :

( The most recent JS revolution has been the great JS libraries, like jQuery and YUI.)
-------------
Here is a JavaScript application which allows users to drag the paragraphs around; it can be seen at: http://mynichecomputing.org/digitallearning/DDthenComment.html .
There is a Builder to *build* this particular utility at http://mynichecomputing.org/digitallearning/DDIandCPageBuilder.html
and there is a kit to get everything else you need, * HERE *.

Further, Flash and Javascript sometimes make nice partners, when providing builders, example:

-------------
We should also keep in mind things that can build themselves and provide good useful
utilities for web page users. Here is a page with an example:

And, fellow JavaScripters!, feel free to see more of my stuff: There is much more here:
